Team HELP
From being misdiagnosed at just the age of seven type 1 diabetes has impacted Aghniettia’s life ever since she was a little girl. Due to not having a working pancreas she takes insulin injections daily. Striving to advocate for the T1D community, over time she’s turned the pain into a form of teaching her community about what it’s like living with T1D.
Below is a link to the JDRF (juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) website, where you’ll find her charity which is called Team HELP “Help Eliminate Little Pokes.” A team name chosen by her mom during her first diabetic awareness walk in 2003.
